PRODUCT GUIDE

Hi guys & gals! I called this page “Product Guide” because I don’t know what else to call a page that’s filled with links to products, books, services and companies that I like (related to fitness, running and general personal improvement).

So, I’ve compiled this list in order to share with my readers things that I’ve found to be valuable for me and that I think you’ll like too.

In order for a product/service to make this list, I must believe in it. That’s it. As time goes by, I will add more things to this list.

I often use Amazon for my online shopping to see if I can get some good deals. Just click on this link and search for what you want.

ACCESSORIES:

Garmin Forerunner 110I’ve had mine for a few years now and I like it. It tracks pace, distance, time, calories. You can also buy a separate heart rate monitor for it.

Garmin Forerunner 15 Great GPS watch for beginners, fairly easy to use. Allows you to track your pace, distance, calories and heart rate. I wish the battery life was a little longer though (it only lasts up to 8 hours in training mode)

Otterbox Samsung Galaxy S5 Case I’ve dropped my phone way too many times now while running and in the gym. This case is awesome and I believe is the reason why my phone is still alive. HAHA

BOOKS:

All In by Arlene Dickinson. I really enjoyed the book. Arlene is an inspiration and although this book is about business success, many of the points that she discusses can also be applied to success in other areas of life, such as fitness and relationships.

Born to Run by Christopher McDougall This book has made me fall in love with running even more than I already was.

Usain Bolt: My Autobiography (faster than lightning) There is a reason why Usain Bolt is one of the most known and best athletes in the world and this book reveals it in an inspiring way.

Unlimited: A Three-Step Plan for Achieving Your Dreams by Jillian MichaelsI know that Jillian Michaels is not everyone’s cup of tea, but the points that she has in her book are actionable and they genuinely make sense. Personally, I enjoyed it as I thought it was well laid out.

MAGAZINES:

Canadian Running

Runner’s World

Women’s Running

SHOES:

Saucony Ride 6

SUPPLEMENTS & NUTRITION:

CoCos-Pure Coconut Water I buy a few cases of it at a time because it tastes great and is filled with electrolytes. I drink it every day.

Cytosport Cytomax Sport Energy Drink Great for endurance sports and long runs. It helps replenish electrolytes and reduces lactic acid levels.

Promax Nutrition Bar Low Sugar Chocolate Fudge This is definitely my favorite flavour. I love this bar. Tastes great and makes for a good healthy snack.

Muscle MLK It’s available at supplement stores and many retailers. Tastes delicious and is great for post-workout recovery.

I verify that I’ve used, read or own (have owned) the things featured in this guide. Yes, some of these are affiliate links, which means that if you make a purchase after clicking on any of these products, I may receive some coffee money 😉 (aka commission)

Keep in mind though that by using those links, you will not have to pay extra. All it does is help me out a little so I can keep my services accessible to a wider range of people.
